Cuisine: Food & Wine
The cuisine of every region we visit is diverse and rich.
Hearty breakfasts in the morning to start the day of riding.
A coffee stop and some pastry or local delicacy during the rides.
Varied lunch styles en route or after the rides to enjoy and recover from the ride.
And at night, a table with good food and wine binds it all together.
And why not include a Michelin star restaurant for dinner during the week?!
We take good care choosing selected restaurants representative of local and traditional cuisine.
From the rugged Mediterranean coastline to the Pyrenees Mountains in the north, Catalonia is a diverse region with a cuisine that is as varied as its geography. Catalan cuisine exemplifies the rich and well-balanced Mediterranean diet. Combinations of fish and meat illustrate a unique talent for combining the diverse.
From the famous Tapas, typical Paella, traditional Catalan and Spanish cuisine, and modern, nouvelle cuisine led by Ferran Adrià of El Bulli, there are a wide variety of styles.
Beside breakfasts and en route lunches, we like to include a few group dinners to sample the different traditional cuisines. It’s time to relax, talk about the rides, deepen friendships and enjoy the food.
And of course, these meals are paired with excellent wines. The local wines from D.O. Empordà, still unknown for many, surprise positively for their character. Priorat and Montsant are always well received and many stories can be told from our wine tour.
When we help you customize your tour, you can choose how many dinners are included. The options are endless, from the well-known Michelin awarded restaurants like Celler de Can Roca (3*** and rated one of the best restaurants in the world), La Massana, Divinum, to the remote countryside restaurants that “only the locals know”. We convert each dinner into a memorable experience.
